Places to take the kids around Liverpool during the holidays that won’t break the bank.
While the holidays are a great break from the school routine, it can also be a stressful time for parents to find outdoor venues and places to take the kids that are free or reasonably priced. Here are a few that we have found but we would love to hear from the local community via comment below on your best ideas around Liverpool these school holidays
Western Sydney Parklands – This huge park features a variety of walking trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. It’s a great place to take kids for a day out in nature. The parklands are open daily from 6am to 8pm. Address: Corner of Peter Brock Drive and Elizabeth Drive, Eastern Creek, New South Wales 2766, Australia. So much to do check it out here.
Raging Waters Sydney – This water park is a great place for kids to cool off and have fun during the school holidays. It features a variety of water slides and pools. The water park is open daily from 10am to 6pm. Address: 427 Reservoir Road Prospect. While a little more expensive than the others on this list we reckon its probably the most fun. Liverpool City Library – This library is a great place to take kids to read, borrow books, and participate in events and workshops. It is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 9pm, Saturday from 9am to 5pm, and Sunday from 10am to 4pm. Address: 170 George St, Liverpool
Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre – This arts center features exhibitions, performances, and workshops for kids. It’s a great place to take kids to get creative. The arts center is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Address: 1 Powerhouse Rd, Casula, New South Wales 2170, Australia. Westfield Liverpool – This shopping center is a great place to take kids when its hot outside. It features a variety of stores, restaurants, and a cinema. Westfield Liverpool is open Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 5:30pm, Thursday from 9am to 9pm, Friday from 9am to 5:30pm, Saturday from 9am to 6pm, and Sunday from 10am to 6pm. Liverpool Catholic Club – This club features a variety of recreational activities for kids, including bowling, laser tag, and an indoor play center. It is open Monday to Wednesday from 9am to 9pm, Thursday from 9am to 10pm, Friday from 9am to 12am, Saturday from 8am to 12am, and Sunday from 8am to 9pm. Australian Botanic Garden, Mount Annan – This botanic garden is home to a variety of native plants and is a great place for kids to learn about and explore nature. The garden is open daily from 9am to 5pm. Address: Narellan Rd, Mount Annan, New South Wales 2567, Australia. More info here
Liverpool Historical Society Museum – This museum is a great place for kids to learn about the history of Liverpool and the surrounding area. It features exhibits on the early settlement of the region, military history, and more. The museum is open Sunday from 1pm to 4pm. Address: 215 Forbes St, Liverpool.
Tik Toks Prestons- Before Tik Tok the app was Tik Toks the play centre. Many an hour will be spent trying to block out the screams of laughter from your little cherob as you stack them full of sugar and then let them loose here. This indoor play center is a great place for kids to burn off some energy. It features a variety of play equipment and a cafe. Tik Toks is open Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 4:30pm, Saturday from 9:30am to 5pm, and Sunday from 10am to 5pm. Address 2/9 Enterprise Circuit. Prestons.
